GPU Reservations
Training Coordinators have the ability to assign guaranteed GPU resources to courses by way of GPU reservations. These courses will have first priority over requested GPU compute hardware, ensuring training will have the necessary hardware requirements to successfully operate training and labs.
Below are the steps to create a GPU reservation for a course:
On the Desktops tab of a course page, click the blue button below the Video conference button labelled "Reserve GPU".

From here a prompt will pop up to gain some information for your GPU request.
First part is location, it is defaulted to choose "Anywhere"

If you happen to know which city the participants are closest to, you can enter it manually by selecting "Within distance from city"

If you want a more broad coverage of location you can choose "Others..."

Once you are satisfied with the location click "Continue" and it will take you to the "Per desktop" section where you can specify machine requirements
Here you will specify all the resources required per machine in order to get a good estimate as to the approximate cost of resources.
** Please be accurate here, it will give a more accurate cost estimation, as well as help those who are managing the course the ability to find resources if no more are available in a region

If you are happy with what was entered click Continue to move onto the GPU requirements section
On this section it is a good idea to have a good conversation with the trainer to determine exactly what is needed for the course. Trainers will have a good idea as to what GPU Vendor and Model they will require to conduct their course. If you or the trainer are unsure, please leave this as "ANY"

Currently we only offer two Vendors (AMD & Nvidia)
As for the models, we list our current catalogue of models. If you are unsure of the needs of the trainer once again, please leave this as "ANY".
Once you are happy with what was entered for the reservation click "Place reservation" and it will allocate the funds to place the reservation and mark it as active on the course page, as show below:

If you happen to get new information about the GPUs required for the course and changes have to be made to your reservation, please contact DD support in order to get some assistance with editing the GPU reservation request.
